How this is worked out

Cityfort calculation from the FY2025 10-K. Of every $100 of FY2025 revenue ($20,322 million): each line = line ÷ $20,322 million × 100. The tax line is negative because Carvana released a valuation allowance on its deferred tax assets; the tax receivable agreement line holds the matching $2.2 billion expense. Carvana's Q4 FY2025 shareholder letter says the two together added about $685 million to FY2025 net income. Operating income was $9.26 per $100.

What protects the business

Each strength is scored 1 (weak) to 5 (strong) for the business, with the reason. It is not a rating of the share.

  • Reconditioning and delivery network4 of 5

Carvana says its sites can recondition about 1.5 million cars a year at full utilization, against 596,641 retail cars sold in FY2025, and it delivers with its own hauler fleet.

  • In-house car loans3 of 5

Carvana writes its own loans and sells them: other sales and revenues, mostly loan-sale gains and commissions, made 41.3% of FY2025 gross profit.

  • Selection and traffic3 of 5

Over 75,000 cars were listed on the website at Dec 31, 2025, and the site averaged 23.8 million unique monthly visitors in Q3 FY2026.

Weak spot

Reliance on selling its car loans

The FY2025 10-K says selling finance receivables produces a substantial portion of gross profit, so Carvana depends on loan buyers and securitization markets staying open.
