How Cityfort is written and checked: SEC sources, fact-checks, AI assistance, corrections, ads and our education-only stance.

What this page covers

This page explains how Cityfort's stock pages, IPO pages, learn entries and blog posts are written. It covers who writes them, where the numbers come from, how we check them, how we fix mistakes and what we will never publish.

How we research explains the process in more detail.

What we publish

Stock pages explain how a US-listed company makes money. IPO pages do the same for a company that has filed to go public. Blog posts explain company news in plain English, and learn entries explain terms and filings using real companies.

We do not write about share price moves. We do not publish market wraps, tips, buy lists or watch lists, or advice on whether to take part in an IPO.

Who writes the pages

Pages and posts carry the Cityfort Research byline: the owner of Cityfort working with AI research and writing tools. Every page shows the date it was last updated.

Where our numbers come from

Every number comes from a document the company filed with the SEC or published itself, a credit rating agency, a regulator or the government. Each page lists its sources with their dates, and each number points to one of them.

News reports and company websites help us find events. They are context only. We never use them as the source of a number.

We never use social media, tip services, forums or rumors. If something cannot be traced to a filing or an official source, we do not publish it.

When we report what management said, we say so and give the date and the document. A company's own plans and guidance are its statements, not our forecast.

How everything is checked

Every page and post passes two checks before it can be published:

  1. Validator. A script checks the structure, the sources, the links and the wording.
  2. Fact-check. A separate review, which did not write the page, traces every number and claim back to its source. It also checks every sentence against our education-only rules, below.

The owner of Cityfort then reviews it. Nothing is published without that approval.

How we use AI tools

Research, drafting and the fact-check are done with AI tools, including Claude, which is made by Anthropic, following our written rules. The owner of Cityfort decides what we cover, reads every page and approves it before it goes live.

Where a page covers a company connected to one of our tools, the page says so near the top.

Corrections and updates

We will get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we say so on the page, with the date and what changed. We do not quietly change numbers.

To report an error, write to us through the contact page. Tell us the page, the number or sentence, and where you saw the correct figure.

A page's web address never changes.

Our own shareholdings

Cityfort, its owner and contributors may or may not hold securities of companies covered. Our policy on trading around the pages we publish will be set out here.

Education only

Cityfort is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. We explain facts. We never tell you to buy, sell or hold a stock.

We never publish price targets, fair values, ratings of stocks, predictions of price moves or claims about returns. Any price-based number shows its date next to it.

Ads and independence

Blog and learn pages may carry ads from Google AdSense once ads are switched on. Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and appear between sections, never inside charts or key numbers.

Ads load only if you accept advertising cookies. Our cookie policy explains how to change your choice.

Advertisers have no say in what we write. Companies do not pay us to cover them. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled "Sponsored". Stock and IPO pages carry no ads or sponsored content.
