What Cityfort is

Cityfort explains US-listed companies in plain, easy-to-understand English. Each stock page covers what the company does, how it makes money, and what to watch. IPO pages do the same for companies that have filed to go public.

We build every page from the company's own filings with the SEC: annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), proxy statements and IPO registration statements (S-1). Every number shows its source and date.

Who it is for

Cityfort is for people starting to invest. Many first-time investors hear about a stock from a friend, a forum or a video. They rarely get to see how the company actually earns its money.

We assume you have never heard of the company. Every page is written to be read on a phone in about five minutes.

What Cityfort is not

Cityfort is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. We do not give stock tips, price targets or ratings of stocks. We never tell anyone to buy or sell, or whether to take part in an IPO.

There are no live prices. Any price we show carries its date. We are an education site, not a trading app or a stock screener.

How we are funded

Cityfort is free to read, with no sign-up.

We plan to earn money from ads on blog and learn pages. Ads never appear on stock or IPO pages. Anything sponsored will be labelled "Sponsored".

Independence

Companies do not pay us to cover them. No company can pay to be added to Cityfort, removed from it, or described differently. Ads shown by an ad network give the advertiser no say over any page.

Companies can point out a factual error, like anyone else. We check it against the filings and correct it in public if we were wrong.

How we work

Research and drafting use AI tools, including Claude, which is made by Anthropic. These tools help us read long annual reports and registration statements.

Every number is then checked against the filings before a page is published. Each page passes two checks: a structure check, and a fact-check that traces every number to its filing and reads every sentence against our education-only rules. The owner of Cityfort then approves it. Read how we research for the full process.
